Your Memories of Me

So I saw this on so many blogs and thought I'd play along. If you aren't playing yet, this one is fun.

So here's the deal...
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you (and if this isn't on there...I'll assume you're a procrastinator like me and will check back later!)

Wanna Play?

I clicked over to your blog and thought I was at the wrong place. I LOVE your blog facelift!!! I want to do it too.

Ok, so I obviously have tons of memories with you. How in the world do I pick just one?

I remember when you worked at a clothing botique and bought tons of new clothes that I thought were sooo cool. You would even let me borrow them from you sometimes. One day I borrowed one of your shirts without asking you and got a big ink spot on the sleeve in my art class. I think I tried to hide it so you'd never find out. When you did find out, you didn't even get mad at me. You were always my biggest supporter, and I always looked up to you.

I also remember visiting you in Southern California when you were pregnant with Chad. I remember taking our kids to have their pictures taken and Michelle wouldn't smile for the photographer. She thought his little trick to get kids to smile was really juvenile. She was so funny!! I remember how hot it was and wondered why in the heck people there didn't have air conditioning. I loved coming to see you when you lived there...who knew I would move there someday.

Sure do love you!

Isn't this a fun game! I remember when you and grandpa drove to Ricks to pick me up for the weekend. Your visit brought me to tears. I was so homesick and I had the best time staying with you, at your house, for the weekend!

Hi Mom,

I remember all the praise you gave me for helping you on your blog. I remember you standing up for me with that stupid teacher in JR High. (she was out to get me until you stepped in)
I remember asking what your first name was and you were so surprised I didn't know it, I guess you had already told me a million times. I was 10 at the time and I felt really stupid for not remembering.

I remember cornering you in Texas and ticking you. i knew when you were faking the laugh when I tickled, but when I actually hit this right spot, usually right under the neck, you would giggle and try so hard to keep me away. I loved playing those games with you.

Love ya mom
Aimee

P.S. "Oooooo the wayward wind...." How could I leave that memory out. Remember our singing lessons in Murray? Our landmark was the smoke stack. Our hopes for fame and fortune were dashed when Patti got married. We should have kept it up. Good memories!

Where do I begin. I just remember that you came into the world and you were a fighter - you had to be because the Drs gave you such a slim chance because you were almost black from being in the birth channel too long but we WON! Look at you now. My wonderful, brave, and very bright daughter who would do anything for me. I really do love you Penni.

I feel so sad that I haven't been around for a lot of stuff in the past what - 20 years! SERIOUSLY - yeah I think 20 years. I love my Dad but he stopped taking us to stuff when he got divorced. And then as we got older we just started following his lead - then I moved to AZ and poof there goes 20 years of family time down the drain.
Oh well, I guess there's time to make it up now! The one thing I remember most about you is your laugh. Like Michelle's smile I can hear your laugh in my head, kinda like Aunt Diane's I love that. I remember Christmas dinners with everyone when we were all really little and one of us was always getting injured because we were playing too rough. Time flies...I hope I get to see your new gazebo soon:) I'm going to be in Utah on the 20th of July for about a week I would love to see everyone!
Talk to you soon

This one's going way back, before I really remember. I just remember my mom telling me about how I really wanted to touch your (or Patti's--I was too little to remember) dress or nightgown, because it was "silky," but I didn't want you to hold me, so I sat with my mom but kept my hand on your dress.

I really remember all the Christmas Eves we spent together singing songs, exchanging white elephant gifts, and most of all laughing.

I remember when your family would drive in from Texas, we'd drive in from California, and we all got to spend time together at grandma and grandpa Hand's.

I always love it when you, Patti, and my mom get togehter. You are so much fun to be around.

Wow, I have so many memories of you and yet I can't place any real dates to them. I love it when you and my dad and Patti and Diane are all together. Even though my dad holds back a lot, he knows he is loved. I love hearing your laugh too, your laugh shows in your eyes. You have always been so kind to me and my mom and sister. My mom has nothing but good things to say about you and she loves you like a sister. Even though Becky and I didn't get to be with the family much after the divorce, when we did come to family things we were always welcome and loved. Thank you for that. Thanks for the extended invitation to Christmas Eve parties and anything else going on with the family. The best memory I have is just knowing I was loved by you. I love you too!
